Its a new week! A new day!

Every week I get to start fresh! Last week I did great with drinking more water but not so great at working out or eating healthy. But now I know what works for me to get my 8 glasses of water each day! I just keep my Nalgene water bottle full and on my desk in my line of site all day. Its so easy I don't know how I didn't figure it out before.

For my healthy food, I'm going to make it a point to get to the grocery store more often. I don't like going shopping for food so I tend to put it off as long as possible. This results in eating out a lot which means I'm not eating what I should. Now I'm going to use going to the grocery store as a way to get more steps in each day and will buy the quick healthy items (Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones for lunches, veggies/fruits for snacks, etc.). I'm also already planning my meals for dinner for the week by looking up quick and easy recipes that are healthy. I hate to cook so this is the biggest challenge for me. But I can do this!

What changes are you making this week? What good habits are you carrying over from last week?

    OMG!!! It's like I'm reading what I was writing about earlier! emoticon I am right there with you! This is going to be my biggest change area because we were taught such poor habits when we were little and now that I'm older - sometimes I feel like I have no clue about eating healthy and cooking. I'm having to start from ground zero.

    You are doing awesome so keep trying I am not perfect on my goals either so let's both of us push this week to do better.

    things I am keeping are:
    1. Drink 8- 8oz cups of water today
    2. drink 8-8oz cups of caffeine free tea today
    3. drink 8 oz of green juice today
    4. make sure I hit my protein count today
    5. eat healthy meals by taking lunch to work and have my good snacks ready at my desk

    things to work on
    1. have dinner planned before I leave the house so I am not thinking about it on drive
    2. Put dinner in slow cooker at least twice this week
    3. be in bed by 9:00pm
    4. do not get up before 2:00am
    5. try to sleep until 3-4am every day except Friday
    6. get to 2 schools for tours this week for George

    I could go on but want to limit it so I am successful

    I bring a 16 oz. coffee cup with me to work every day and keep refilling it. Works just fine!
    I have a stationary bike in my living room, and while they do recommend you eat before doing any exercise in the morning, it works better for me to drag my carcass onto the bike first thing, put in 15-30 minutes, start the coffee, shower, breakfast, and off to work!
    You might set yourself a challenge to cook at least one big batch of food a week, freezing portions of it. That way you have more control over the calories. And it's a lot less expensive than frozen dinners!
    But, one step at a time! Keep on keeping on. Blessings to you on your road to a healthylifestyle.
