Although I have been carefully tracking my calories with the My Nutrition tracker and have been wearing the Body Media armband to track my calories burned and sleep, I'm still not losing weight, in fact this week I went UP three pounds. This, in spite of a 1300+ average calorie deficit. How do I break this plateau?

    Both the previous posters make great points. DON'T rely on the scales. So much is going on in your body chemistry and scales simply can't measure such change.

    Track your inches. My friend has the same exact problem. She eats healthfully, goes to the gym regularly and can't lose weight. However she has lost body fat. Which is more important than weight. Plateaus suck. Change up your work out. Could help.

    you might be adding muscle...don't give up...keep on going...the scale should start showing it sooner or later... emoticon emoticon
