Solidifying my goals

Sunday, February 03, 2013

First off, I have to say a big, huge THANK YOU to everyone who gave me such amazing support in my last (very difficult to write) blog. Yet another reason I continue to use the support here! I luv you all! emoticon

I've spent a bit of time going over my goals with regards to where I want to be and I am going to dream big and shoot for 135 which is 10 pounds below where I was before. Although I would be happy with 145, int he interest of working for what I REALLy want, I am going to dream big and make 135 my ultimate goal.

I weighed in this morning and it put me up at 157.6 which is 2.6 higher than last week (thanks, Aunt Flo!!) but I also also measured, something I intend to keep up with so I can track more than scale progress (because we ALL know how finicky THAT can be emoticon ). I feel quite focused to work toward my goals and get me back to where I want to be.

I am tired of not feeling like I can do it because I CAN do it. Truly, I am only limited by myself and my own excuses. So I guess with that, what are goals without measurable steps to get there? Here are my goals for the week:

Track my food with the SP tracker and app

Calorie cycle (or zigzag) my daily calories. Ranging from a bit over 2000 calories on one day to 1264 on my lowest day giving me an average of almost 1540 for the week.

Pretty Self explanatory there, but with the lifting I am doing, clean eating is essential! I am in the PUSH phase of Chalean and I am seeing quite a few changes with how I am lifting and I want to see MORE!

Blog my accountability here next week with how I did BOTH positive AND negative!
.
Small steps toward my overall goal. I would love to see 150 by the end of February -- that is my focus with my overall goal looming in the background. My ultimate goal of reaching 135, losing a pound a week would give me July 28th (my baby's 2nd birthday). I CAN do this!

Destination Fixation: fixating on the end goal and not stressing out about the potholes along the way and realizing that there WILL be bad days mixed in with the good.

Great plan. I totally believe that you can do it. Your Spirit is super-charged and you have the human tools understood and in place. As you say.......
The Power is in the Choices you make each day.......where you put the pedal to the metal. You can conquer the obstacles and be the best you on the outside to match the best you that you feel inside of you!

Sounds good. I know that you can make this work even though I know how much you hate the tracking. Essentially 6 months of tracking and then you can return to IE and maintain like you did before your baby - that is definitely a goal worth working towards.

I love the last goal of focusing on the end goal and not the potholes that will occur. emoticon emoticon
