Church dinners are notorious for good fattening food. I think all the women try to out do each other, lol.

Try taking several healthy items that you like to help fill up on. Then remember, the first two or three bites of something is the best. So one spoonful of a couple of your favorite dishes won't hurt so bad. It's all about portions. Also tell yourself, there will be other church dinners and if I don't get my favorites this time, I can have a bite of it ext time.

Losing weight and eating healthy is a journey. You are just learning now that you started your journey. You can do it!

It sounds like you guys are really involved in your church. what If you collaborated and made a healthy potluck challenge for the next get together, telling everyone that wants to participate has to bring food from x criteria, and there will be a winner for the healthiest and yummiest dish? You could award the winner with a home made printed certificate. Just an idea!

Statistically church going people are more likely to be overweight. Hmm wonder why. Maybe we need to get together and do some things besides eat. Lol I'm one of those church people, so I'm talking to myself just as well.

Keep up the good work. So you had a not so good day eating, we all have those days. I had one of those days today also, but mine was from not taking the time out to eat when I should have, so when I finally did eat dinner, I overate, not to mention stopping at Sonic's to get a mini chocolate milkshake. My calories today are way over.

    Tomorrow's a new day.
