It's good to have a soundtrack

I happen to be feeling pretty darn good about myself this morning in spite of the fact that the scale hadn't budged on my last weigh-in day. That is a big deal for me. I purposely don't own a scale because if I did, I would be weighing myself every time I went near it.

This morning was work out 3 of week 2 in the C25K training. I did it with minimal pulling at my side and more importantly, could sing along to he music for a while. Not sure I would have even attempted it last week. It helps to have good music too. Something with a pace that will keep me moving and as happy as the act of running can be for me. I haven't completed my "soundtrack" for running yet, but at the moment, I've got roughly 3 hours saved. For me, it relies heavily on tunes from U2 back when I first got to hear them (early 80's). Some newer tunes as well, but I think having music from "back in the day" when at least in theory, I had more energy, helps my spirit feel young and more energetic. It's a good day. Happy Imbolc to those that honor it.
