Non Scale Victory today.

Today I'm wearing a belt that didn't fit a month ago. This pleases me.

Technically, according to the scale, I lost about 14 lbs in January. 8 of them were "lost" in the first week, so I don't really count that as real. The last two weeks I've been losing at 1 lb a week pace, which I think is normal. But I went to Jamaica over Thanksgiving and gained quite a bit, and then went completely out of control over Christmas, so the starting number for January 1 was outrageous. Still, it was nice to see the weight pour off for the first 10 days or so this month.

If I could consistently lose at 1 lb a week, I will be ecstatic. We'll see. But for now, I'm going to be happy with how January went and stay on program for February. Even if the scale doesn't move a ton, I will be on the lookout for more NSVs.
