1/31/13 Weekly Update

Friday, February 01, 2013

I am a day late on this weekly update. Things have been a bit hectic this week! I did mention in my last blog post a little about how my weekend went, I will do my normal breakdown in this entry. (My weeks start on Thursdays, as that is just the day I started back on this journey).

This was not my best week, but I am not disappointed, considering how much was going on.

Sleep: I didn't get as much sleep as normal with my friend in town. We were down to one car while she was here, ugh!, so I was up early to take my hubster to work in the morning, then we were up later than my normal in the evenings. This week, I will focus on getting back into my routine... In bed by 10pm, read till 11pm, and lights out!

Food: I gave myself a higher calorie range for the weekend, and I was able to stay in that range with no problem. I didn't feel like I was missing out on any of the vacation foods. Plus, I did make ahead some meals that we just threw into the crock pot in the morning, so we had a couple of home-cooked meals while she was in town too. This week, again, I am going back to my regular goals... Stick to around 1300 calories a day (under 1550), keep my carbs under 175 daily (I am lowering this because I am able to stick to under 200 pretty regularly), Continue to work toward 60 grams of protein daily.

Water: 10+ cups a day. No problem!

Exercise: I am way below my time and calories burned goals this week. I am back into the swing of things though, so I will make up for it! Back to Zumba and the gym!

Pop: 36 days free!

Relationships: Having an old friend in town was great! It was fun to show her around my new city, and to have someone who knows me so well with me all weekend!

Weight: down .4 lbs
1/31/13: 165.2
1/24/13: 165.6
1/17/13: 168.0
1/10/13: 168.0
1/4/13: 172.0
12/28/12: 174.8

Here is to a successful week!

    YOU are doing GREAT! emoticon

I am so proud of you.

You have been "pop" free for over a month: they say it takes about that long to make a good habit, so it seems like you've passed that mark, and are sailing through. Way to go, girlfriend!

You really are almost down 10 pounds in just over a month too.
WOW. That's really something to celebrate.

I would like to know how you decided your calorie range, and protein too. Is there something on SparkPeople that helped you with establishing that?

How inspiring! I have started over and over again, because it doesn't seem like I get anywhere. But this is worth working hard for.

    Thank you so much!
