Friday and February!

Friday, February 01, 2013

Dang, where did January go???? Whoosh!

This cold is kicking my butt, but I woke up right before the alarm so I decided to try a workout...I figured even if I just walked the whole thing, it was something. I did actually manage to get some running in, but man was it hard...I did two 2-min runs on the first part, then walked for like 10 min, then got two more 2-min runs in. 8 minutes total, not great but impressive for how I felt, LOL!

Talked to my parents last night, my mom is still not happy about being in the rehab facility but is hanging in. My brother has decided it's just going to be too expensive to change his flight, so he's not going to go down there this weekend after all. Part of me feels like I should, to check in and give my dad support, but I really need to rest and kick this cold so I think I will stay here. He of course told me not to come down.

Anyhow, it's FRIDAY!!! And on Sunday I get to watch my boys in the Super Bowl! Woo hoo!

My mother (not 'in house' but...) was VERY off about starting cardiac rehab (granted, after all her issues and being 70lb, sure) but she's almost 3 weeks into it now and she's doing SO much better. It's necessary. It hurts but when you're getting care that often, you will improve. She's doing fabulously (of course, she could drop dead before I get home, but she's ALREADY better with stamina) already. I hope the same kind of improvement, although your mum may be less able.
