Haven't Blogged in a While

Friday, February 01, 2013

First the good news- my new clothes still fit.
The Bad News- I am up 15 pounds from October. Part of it is water retention-my meds are off and I just got my medical reimbursement card straight so I can get it fixed. That will help.
The only things I have been consistent on are water and some movement everyday. I need to get back to 60+ minutes per day, but at least I move 20 per day no matter what and usually 30.

It has been a hard few months. Changes-even happy and good ones are stressful.

It is colder this year. My body doesn't like cold; my joints ache.

I think this is why I haven't blogged in so long. I am whiny. January has been one long round of coughing and sore throats. I only have some of my vocal range back and choir started back up on Wednesday. I hate singing flat. emoticon I can barely sing the C above middle C-usually the G above the line is easy.

Today would have been a good day to stay home and sleep. It is cold outside, so my knees ache. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get substitutes and it would put a burden on my colleagues to have my students added to theirs.

I need a plan. I need a goal. It is the first of February and I want it to be a better month.

Oh, I so relate to your post! I haven't posted in awhile either because I don't want to whine, I don't want to obviously ignore what this blog/journey is about, I don't want to say... "here I am AGAIN!" ... so, alas... I haven't blogged.... Planned on working on the new month angle, too... :)

Sorry you've been sick and that you're hurting! It's a cold one here in Wisconsin today, too... It's 1 degree out with a windchill of -14...sorry you couldn't stay inside and stay cozy... home will feel even better when you get there, eh?!

    Have a good weekend!

Glad you are back to bloging. I am feeling the same way since it has turned cold. It is so hard to get moving.

You have work and done so well to lose. So, dig in and use all your strength to get back on track. I am having to tell myself the SAME thing.

We can't let the fat get the best of us. The joint pain even gets better if you do exercise. You need to not over do but do to the point that you can feel that you have worked out the joints. I do an arthritis exercise class, maybe you could find one to get into. It really helps with the pain. Water aerobics is great too. You can do it. We can do it!!!!

    hugs, judy
