Crazy day today. Had "issues" with the sewing machine in class today. Well, I went in a little early to try and finish the tailoring project she gave me. I had a doctor's appt in the middle of class time, so I couldn't stay. But the machine wigged out on me.

Got to my appointment on time, barely. Sleep specialist. I'm going in for my sleep study tomorrow night. So, she also wanted to check my iron in my blood. Disaster of the day #2. Two techs and four needles/bandages later, they got some blood. Both arms and both hands. Ouch.

So, if anyone reading this has lived/currently lives in Portland, OR, you may have been up to the OHSU hospital/campus. The buildings are a maze. I had my fitbit on, as always. By the time i got home from all of my running around, I had 8500 steps accumulated for the day. More than I've ever had in the past month. In fact, I lowered my personal goal just to give myself something to start with and work my way back up to 10K. I did a little laundry... hovering just under 9K. I decided that while the laundry was in the dryer, I'd put my shoes on and walk around the block a bit. I walked up three blocks, over one, and by the time i got back to the front door of my building, I had 10K. Honestly, I've likely walked that many or more in some of my past jobs, but in the past month, with the fitbit, this is the first time I've had a decent calculation. And I've earned a new badge on my fitbit profile.

I'm starting to feel better, finally. I think getting the sleep study done is also huge for me. I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere with my health.

Good to hear you're on the road to solving your health issues. When will you get the results back on the sleep study?

I saw your blog post on the team page from when we joined. It doesn't seem too active, yours is the only one on it. I'm on one active team where we have a lot of fun. If you would like to check it out the link is at the bottom of my message.
    Glad you like the fitbit.
