Morning all, hate it when I don't blog, but along with being very busy with my non paying jobs, I am just not up to par,and not happy with my DR. whose answer to everything is take a pill, I really and truly believe they don't read the side effects. After watching my husband and father, and the amount of meds they had to take in the end it was the side effects from the meds that they passed from.

Been doing alright food wise, and water, been getting exercise in, have only hit 10,000 steps once this week, maybe today,

Hope everyone is okay , and remember good or bad it's your life and you can do it!

I hear ya about the docs! I feel the same way...& it always seems that they would rather just put you on a pill, than try to help you resolve a medical issue in a more healthy way. Example: My cholesterol level was a teensy bit up early last year & my doc wanted to put me on a statin right away! I'd never had high cholesterol before & thought it was just a fluke & told him to give me 3 months to try to lower it naturally & he reluctantly gave in, not happy w/me, of course. Well, I got it down & then some! He kept asking me how I did it! I told him...diet & exercise!!! It works!

Speak up when you see your doctor- he might have the edge on medical know how but you know your body better than he ever will

    Take care!

HUGS. If your gut tells you this Dr. isn't working for you, move on. Hard . . . but sounds like it's in your best interest.

emoticon One of my Biggest Motivators is watching My Mother and many of my Clients go through what it sounds like Your Husband & Father did. I believe that My Mother truly BELIEVES that there is a "Magic Pill" out there to cure all her issues. It breaks my heart.

I'd seek a second opinion if the doctor is only
prescribing pills and no other alternatives. It
could be that your other activity makes up for
the missing steps. Have a great day!

I have heard that doctors get kickbacks from pharmacutial companies when they prescribe their medicines. If this is true no wonder some of them might be tempted to write a lot of prescriptions.

Sorry to hear of your pill prescribing doctor. Seems like that is the answer for everything these days. It's like we have to be our own doctors and do our own research. Frustrating.
Yes. Today is a new day and you can certainly hit your 10,000 steps if you want to.
