I'm really enjoying the blogging as a way to keep on track with my progress. I feel a bit decadent this week as I've been eating heartily and snacking a lot. Plus it turns out I miscalculated the calories in the stew I made earlier this week because it made 9 servings and not 10. Oops. Oh well. I still don't think I've gone over, and at least not much if I did. I am well within bounds for carbs, fat and protein. I'll chalk it up to Learning Curve.

Oh, I went for Brunch yesterday at Shine Cafe - it was quite lovely. I had a fried egg and toast with no butter but with peanutbutter and jam and English Breakfast Tea. Yum.

I'm really thankful for the Y - there are so many classes included in my membership and the staff are really lovely and it's only a 10 minute walk from my house. This morning I tried out an abs class - it's only 30 minutes. Timed somewhat awkwardly, because I like to start working at 9:00 am and the class ends at 8:45, but really I started working by 9:45 so that's great. I might start going MWF. I really liked the class. And I did On the Ball on Tuesday night, which is another strength training class. I'd like to start doing step as well but I pulled a muscle doing step and swing on the same day. High Impact is Not Me.

Tomorrow I think I'll do some light stuff on the elliptical before school, as well as my new tiny weight train program. It's not very good but it'll do as a starter. Maybe sometime when I'm at my parents' place I could book sessions with Sue, my friend who is a personal trainer. She could probably start me on the right track.
