I need this reminder often each day. Today I had a few emotional times where I just had to dig deep and fight. I might print that poster out and put on the frig or pantry door.

My day did not begin as planned as I guess I shut the alarm off and then fell right back to sleep. The hubby thought about waking me up for about 10 min. and then decided against it as I'm usually right up and getting ready to head to the gym.

School didn't go as planned either. No tantrums, but Isaac dawdled through the whole thing. Two hours to do his very easy math paper. Maegann was done with all of her subjects by then. I switched and did our 'together school' after his math was finished so M could be done for the day. After that we broke for lunch and chores and then I had him back at the school table to do his writing and reading. He finally got done about 2:45 and we had 20 min. before we needed to leave for M's piano lesson. I was able to get my desk cleaned up nicely and scrap the photos/letters from the sponsor kids while I was waiting!

I was thankful for ladies Bible study tonight. Just a nice break as usual.

Did get Isaac's speech evaluation scheduled for Tuesday afternoon so will be good to know if further work is necessary there or not. I'm selfishly hoping not as it means a weekly trip to therapy every Tuesday afternoon, but we'll do what is needed.

Tomorrow: gym, school and taking Maegann to Bible study.

I had yogurt covered raisins and a cheese stick last night. Tonight I'm planning on an apple with caramel....or nothing.

We believe God is going to deliver us, but even if He does not, we are not conforming to your image of what you think we ought to be. We are going to do what God is telling us to do. You can do what you want to with your furnace. But whatever happens to us, we will have peace. (Daniel 3:17-18 paraphrased)

Trust in Him. Trust God to meet you in the fire. Don't be afraid to stand up for righteousness because you know He'll never leave you or forsake you.

Sounds like you had a somewhat busy day. Sorry that Isaac was giving you problems. Hope that today is much better.

When our body craves extra sleep I think we need to give into it as long as it doesn't become a habit and change our daily progress.

You have the patience of a saint with your children. Very inspiring!

Great job on the snacking, Janet, and great job on digging deep. It has taken me a long time to come to the realization that this journey we are on is about all the stuff in our lives..the stress of the kids, the weariness, the to find time for ourselves in the midst of all that. One baby step at a time, and if you need Bob Harper on your fridge to help you succeed, I say do it!! Because, as you often say to me: WE CAN DO THIS!!! :)

I'm thinking you needed that extra sleep.

Even though Isaac dawdled, your day did progress. I like my Bible Study since it is a good way to get to know the Word better in the company of some great people.

Yay for how you are doing with the snacking!
