Wedding Planning

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

I keep going back and forth on wedding planning. On the one hand, I think a lot of wedding hoopla is silly. On the other, I'm getting MARRIED, there SHOULD be some hoopla! I'll be...married!! What tha?!? I'm pretty sure in my head and heart I'm still about 13 years old, so that will be weird.

Anyway, the real point is that one part of wedding planning I don't mind at all??? Planning the honeymoon. :-D We're planning on a cruise in Europe and I've taken on the terrible burden of looking at amazing pictures of incredible places trying to decide what we're going to do... We are going to have an inside cabin...mostly so we can save some money to take some awesome excursions!

I actually think I have it all picked out (and frankly, half booked) but I have to get the fiancee's okay for it...since he'll be the one paying. (No job sad face.) On the other hand, if my practice is going as well then as it is now (or better? Dare to dream!) I might be the high roller buying her arm candy a drink...who knows!?!? :-P (I'm being super facetious and goofy, I'm so not going to be making more than my fiancee...probably ever. But still.)

Once this is taken care of I'll have a firm date and I'll start getting quotes from some vendors, I'm so not going to deal with the food myself, I definitely need a caterer and an officiant. Other than that I think I might have it handled...on my own (scared face!).

Now back to work till fiancee calls me back...

P.S. Did Week two of ripped in 30 today. Oh dear. I think it might be more like ripped in 6 weeks because I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to do this week over! :-P I'm going to try it again tonight and see if doing a couple doubles will get me to be able to actually do it better. I am just not that flexible!!!

a cruise to Europe would be fantastic !! It's tough to decide what to see. Whenever I travel abroad I make an A, B and C list of things to do. The A list are things I absolutely have to see no matter what. The B list are things I'd like to see if I can't see one of the things on the A list. The C list are places I'd like to see if there is time or if something on the C list happens to be near the A list. make sense ? LOL !!!

Start making lists of things you and the future hubby must see while traveling. Believe me, even if you happen to miss one thing on your list, you'll still have plenty to do.

My second wedding was terrific. We did a simple outside ceremony and then a big party. Just make certain that it is what YOU want.
