DAY 9 (Day 3) Virgin Diet AMAZING!!!!!!!

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

Still plugging along! This mornings weight was 237.4, so I am still losing pretty quickly- but I have a lot of fat to lose, so I hope the trend keeps up!

I am down a total of 12 lbs in 9 days! emoticon

I am feeling better as far as detox goes, some of the achy-ness has left and I am just starting to feel a bit more energetic.

The greatest transformation I have experienced so far is being in control of my hunger and cravings. I don't know that I have EVER IN MY LIFE, felt this satisfied and IN CONTROL of my hunger. I used to be like a bottomless pit for sugar and carbs, I would, could and DID eat multiple candy bars, snack cakes, pasta, BREAD all in the same day. I could easily consume over 4,000 calories a day and still not feel full, nourished and satisfied.

Had someone told me that I could feel COMPLETELY satisfied on 1600-1700 calories/ day I would have had SERIOUS doubts that it would work for me.

I decided to do this diet because over the past 12 months I have made several attempts to lose weight and eat healthier that led to frustrating results, no weight loss and an inability to eat within my calorie range consistently.

Now it all seems so easy. And it is for the most part . . .

This past saturday I went out with friends to The Cheesecake Factory to see if I could stick to the plan and eat out in a social setting. I ordered the Ahi Tartare and Chicken Mushroom Lettuce wraps, with fresh strawberries for dessert.

Well I didn't tweak the order well enough and the Ahi Tartare came with an unavoidable soy sauce, and I am not entirely sure that the Chicken didn't have some peanut sauce on it. But the wait staff at The Cheesecake Factory are very accommodating and encourage you to ask questions and specify your food preparation according to your dietary needs- I just failed to do so- HENCE the DAY 9 (Day 3) in the title!

I may be ok as far as Dairy/Gluten/Sugar/ Eggs/ Corn, but not sure on Soy and Peanuts, so I will have to wait longer to challenge those . . . No sweat!

My ultimate short term goal is to be as close to 200 lbs as possible by April, I am in a wedding as a bridesmaid, and wanted to look my best for my Bride. But beyond that, I am excited that I may finally get to my goal weight of 165, or 155 and be able to stay there for the long term!
