What Works For You?

Refuse to answer indifference with more indifference.

Pro 27:3 Carrying a log across your shoulders while you're hefting a boulder with your arms Is nothing compared to the burden of putting up with a fool. (MSG)

A little trick I do when feeling blue is to visit the local animal shelter. I love animals passionately and when I see all these homeless and unwanted pets, it makes me know that my burdens are light. Someone suggested to go to a hospital ER room or waiting room. When you see the countless patients coming in and distraught loved ones waiting for some word, it makes one know their burdens are light. What will you do to appreciate your lot in life?

I appraciate i'm here able to enjoy all that i can see feel and smell, able to walk through fields and woods, able to stroke an animal, hold someone ,hug a grandchild ,feel the wind on my face, the rain and sun on my body, see the flowers coming forth, the children playing, the smile on another. The blues hit us all and i appreciate them too they have created some wonderful songs, poetry, stories, without the blues we cant have the joys ..so I appreciate it all and feel blessed to be alive . emoticon

I Pray Daily For Others And Whatever Else I'm Led To Do By The Lord. I Am So Grateful To God That I Know What To Do When Things Seem Tough Because Many People Have Lost Hope. I Keep My Hope In The Lord Because What Is Seen Is Temporary But What Is Not Seen Is Eternal! ref 2 Corinthians 4:18 One of my very favorite Scriptures. Thank God For His GREAT Grace! I put on some praise and worship music and sing along enjoying the privilege that I've been given to praise and worship the Lord. I've found that if I turn my eyes to Him that the things going on around me become smaller in my sight as He becomes bigger. When put in proper perspective I understand that the difficulties of life are temporary, light afflictions that are subject to change! God's truth supersedes the facts of what I may be experiencing!

I'm a reader. I love to read. I also love to do things that help people. It's why I have stayed in the same job for 23 years. Someone else always has more to handle than you do. Besides that why worry about tomorrow, you can't change it. It is going to happen anyway.

I listen to K-Love at work and Home. That also lifts my spirits. When we put things into the big picture perspective our lives aren't so bad. I try to keep positive thoughts and attitudes. I'm working on it!

If I have a case of the blues I will turn on my Christian radio station K-LOVE and listen to uplifting music. I have this station programmed into my car radio so it is with me most of the time.
