I generally cannot look in a mirror without criticizing myself and for me, it is a difficult habit to break. That being said I am not a big fan of working out while being surrounded by mirrors because I spend too much energy on criticizing myself in my head. I have been actively trying to stop this process and today I made a breakthrough! I did a workout class at Lifetime in a room with mirrored walls and I completed the class without thinking one negative thought about myself. I know it sounds silly but that is really a big deal for me and I feel like it is a great step toward self acceptance.

    It is a big deal. I know how you felt. Used to feel the same way. Once that criticism is gone you feel absolutely amazing. And that you can do so much more than you thought. Congrats on such an amazing achievement. emoticon
