Not well

Monday, January 28, 2013

Last night dh decided to get in touch with his "German" roots and make a dish for supper. It was red cabbage and onion cooked in red wine. Also, a beef dish with a dill pickle rolled up in the middle. I only ate it so he wouldn't feel bad. Two of our kids refused to eat it. Anyway, I "felt it" all night...churning stomach. Still don't feel good today. So, from now on I'm going to pass on dishes that don't appeal regardless if someone's feelings are hurt or not.

Have you ever eaten something just to not offend?

I hope you feel better. I just say no and hope the person does not take offense.

Yeah, I have and always end up paying for it one way or the other. I hate to hurt someone's feelings, but I have gotten better about taking really small portions so I don't end up "hurt" emoticon ! lol Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Don't know what could have been in it that caused such problems. Herbs? Spices? DH was fine? LOL

Next time, before eating anything strange to you, take some digestive supplements i.e papaya enzyme

And also eat a salad (ruffage) to get the food through your system faster.

Oh many times! But now, I have remedies that help with that one of which: boil some cumin seeds, strain, and drink the tea. Not a fan of the taste, but it works wonders on my stomach.

    Hope you feel better.

It sounds really good, but I can imagine how the cabbage must of upset your stomach.

My husband makes potatoes, sauerkraut, and pork and it tastes so good, but it does a dance on my stomach.

And yes I have ate my niece's cooking, she loves to make mexican & I am not a big fan.

    Feel better!
