Baking, Blogging, and Back to SParking actively.

Thanks to you all for coming by and commenting! I really appreciate it. I am trying to get back to more active SParking since it keeps me more connected and more honest.
Today I got bit by the baking bug... I made chocolate chip cookies, sour cream blueberry muffins and healthy pumpkin spice mini muffins. the first two weren't even remotely healthy, the last ones are very healthy and very controlled since they are small.
I didn't have the greatest week last week, I just felt kind of out of it all week. Though my treadmill DID get fixed, I think part of my decreased exercise had a lot to do with my legs getting used to running on an incline again, so I had to really rest them up a between runs. But that strategy paid off since I was well able to do a simulated 5K course for what hubby and I will be running on 16th February, the Sweetheart 5K here in Columbia. We are already registered and I have a good idea of the route since I have run a 5K already on a similar route, though in the opposite direction. I am looking forward to it. I was able to shave 35 seconds off my 5K time from New Year's Eve. But treadmill is different than being in the great outdoors, so your mileage may vary. Though I would LOVE to do a sub 30, if I can beat the 31:30, I will be very happy. My next goal is to beat my 30:41 from the Jay Dix 5K in April 2011.
I had a pretty good soundtrack for my treadmilling tonight...
Situation (Yaz)
Solsbury Hill (Peter Gabriel)
Tell My Why (Berlin)
Rubber Room (Velvet Hammer)
Glamorous Life (Sheila E)
Dream Today (Joydrop)
Mr Blue Sky (ELO)
Indian Fever (David Starfire)
See the Light (Mike Oldfield)
Here Is the News (ELO)
I have rather eclectic musical tastes...
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
