Hi guys...January has been as up and down as all of 2012 was for me...

So to break the cycle, my goal this week is to lose one pound this week and keep it off until next Monday. The should keep my mind right during Superbowl too!

    I don't do pounds lost as goals anymore because I feel like I cannot control the outcome, but I can control the effort. Sort of like a kid not having a goal to get an A+ in a class, because the teacher controls that, so the kid has the goal of doing the homework and studying. Does that make sense? So, to that aim, my basic plan is this- workouts at my new gym (went this afternoon and worked out hard - went four days in a row last week), lots of walking, eating a good protein heavy breakfast and cutting off eating after dinner/before bed. Anyway, I like your approach of breaking the cycle. The Superbowl will be very exciting for you, I bet. I read an article today about it being the second biggest "eating holiday", second only to Thanksgiving. emoticon

    Outstanding. Goal? hum... to make it to Friday dealing with a bad tooth. emoticon and of course getting in at least some time on the treadmill daily and of course always remembering my pups are a priority. Not one I forget :)

    I love your plan Mama. I will join you in the one pound plan! I will exercise every day this week at least 20 minutes. I might needed to do 40 today because I overinduldged in ice cream to drowned my emotions at lunch. Sick kid+ calling off+normal everyday stress= this mama eating chocolate ice cream, and not a little petite bowl either.

    So back on track for this mama too! emoticon

    My goal is to stop feeling sorry for myself and angry at myself - a really idiotic combination. Since the rain has stopped and the sky is blue and it's absolutely gorgeous outside, my spirits should lift too. I plan to do ONE HAPPY THING every day.

    And happy wedding dress shopping! Glad you had fun.

    I ate horribly yesterday: sweets coming out of my ears (not literally thankfully) and didn't exercise. I felt sick from all the sweets later on at night.
    This weeks goal: focus on eating better and what it does to my body: makes me feel so much better.

    Great goal! Mine will be to finally fix the wiring on my stationary bike so that I can see how fast I'm pedaling once more. It's only been broken for two months....but I am DETERMINED to finally fix it this week!
