Blog Entry 5 of 8 Week 7
What another week. Flu struck again this time my oldest. Not as high a temp but longer duration. This was supposed to be a short week. It felt sooooo long. It was difficult to get to the gym and I am realizing that 12 times to the gym in a month may not be as easy as I had originally thought. Our schedule is not forgiving and throw in a bug and boy do things get derailed.

So my goal this week is to get the last three gym visits in and I have five days to do it. My other goal is to walk 30-60 minutes every day. I plan on taking our dogs with me as they both have put on weight and need exercise. No matter how cold it gets here in our new home, we are going to walk (I could see my doggie's breath the other day and it was odd to see that).

I achieved a huge goal off my list:setting up my bodybugg that I purchased with a Groupon shortly before our lives got turned around (last August!). I don't know what was holding me back. It was easy. In the wee hours of Saturday morning, I set it up and when I woke up, I put it on and hit the gym. Tonight I could not believe my results:2550 calories burned???? I am still baffled. Obviously I know how to burn the calories. SO this week's focus is on "the calories in".

I KNOW I can do this. One foot in front of the other forming healthy habits one small goal at a time.

WEEK 7 Yellow Team Challenge -blog on your Winter Challenge Experience:
This will be pretty short. I had high hopes for Winter and it started out like the past challenges (where I coasted) or at least it felt that way. Then the turning point came with my Christmas gift of a gym membership. I feel re-energized especially since my ST have shot back up. I feel great to be sort of on top with the tram too. The last piece of my motivation puzzle was finally getting the bodybugg going. It had only been two days but it gave me such a push and it is rippling into my results for the challenge. So I guess the bottom line is:started weak and finishing strong! Yeah!!
