One step at a time

One step at a time. One day, one workout, one bite. The scale is not my friend...nor is it my enemy either. Ive been doing really well, feeding my body well, and often. Ive been pushing myself to and at the gym, both in cardio and weights. My legs feel stronger, my runs longer. The scale isn't showing me what hard work I've been putting in, and that's ok. Its a scale. I use it as a guide if you will, and keep it around to loosely track. It doesn't measure my inches lost, my muscles, my drive.
I started this year with two gym partners. I'm down to none now. They quickly bowed out as days and weeks went by, one excuse or another, and I've found a new passion for listening to my own breathing as I count the miles on the treadmill. I can motivate myself...and I am. I'm looking forward to the weather breaking to get outside and run again. To listen to the traffic, my feet on the pavement, my music.
