National Western Stock Show

Saturday, January 26, 2013

Today I went to the National Western Stock Show with a friend. He had a stroke recently, so had a wheelchair this year that I was pushing, though he ended up walking most of the day with his cane. But we had a good day. I was surprised that I only wound up with 5200 steps, though. We were walking almost the entire time. I didn't do too bad with my eating there since I took my own lunch and a snack that I ended up eating for dinner. We did get a couple things that are a bit higher in calories and carbs than I should have, but I got the one cut in small pieces and haven't had a bite yet. I am going to try my very best to only have a small piece when I do have any.

This was the first time I have been to the NWSS in a couple of years because of problems and I sure enjoyed being able to go again. I also enjoyed that I was able to fit into my Wranglers that I haven't been anywhere close to getting on the last few months, even though I haven't lost much weight. Must have just redistributed some of the weight.

I bet you've lost weight--inches anyway, I double that it's just redistribution of weight--
That feeling of getting into a too-tight pair of jeans is wonderful!!
    Keep up the good work.
