Try Laughter

Laughter rises out of tragedy, when you need it the most, and rewards you for your courage.

Gen 21:6 Sarah said, God has blessed me with laughter and all who get the news will laugh with me! (MSG)

When was the last time you caused someone to laugh? When was the last time someone caused you to laugh? When was the last time you laughed at yourself? Or do you have, "Tears Of A Clown, When No One's Around?"

Laughing or stupid things is better than crying about nothing, or about something serious for hat matter. emoticon emoticon

I told my sweet hubby the other day that we needed a good belly laugh! Sometimes we get caught up in the mundane of life and just need to break free from it! Laughter has even been known to bring healing in a person's life. Proverbs 17:22 says A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.

My sister and I laugh a lot. I believe it is good medicine. Otto Koning who worked among the headhunters and cannibals of Papua NG said his wife disarmed the natives with her smile and laughter, and that was the reason they lasted so long on the mission field.

I have been blessed with a dh that makes me laugh and laughs with me many times a day! I am so thankfor for him. Neither of us ever believed from our early lives we could have such! Thank You, Jesus!

Yesterday, spending time with Mom and my sisters caused a few laughs! A blessing because last week my sister who is struggling with depression made the comment that she doesn't know how people can laugh, and we had her laughing yesterday! emoticon
The other night I was playing bowling on the Kinect with my daughter and my youngest son and I was doing terrible. I was getting annoyed and they were laughing at me, (not unkindly), so I had to laugh at myself, too! It felt good, laughter is good medicine.

You can laugh after the fact about tragedy. For instance, when I had broken my ankle, my husband had to wheel me around on my walker with a seat. he would go around corners and make funny sounds like racing a car engine. I remember that and laugh!

I love laughter it's such good medicine. I make it a point to laugh about something everyday and usually on Sundays at my mom's house I'm brought to tears over something someone has said. You know the hearty laughter that makes you not only bust a gut but cry as well. Love it!!
