Clean-Out-the-Meat Meal Plan

We are both low on cash and also trying to clear out all of the meat in the freezer, so here is my meal plan for the next 7 days.

1) Beef Roast (freezer) with Baked Potatoes and broccoli
2) Bean and Cheese Enchiladas (freezer
3)Taco Soup
4)Brian's favorite chili
5)Bean burritos (freezer)
6)Tuna casserole (freezer)
7) Chicken and Black bean soup

I only have about $50 to use to buy all of the fruit and veggies we need for snack and breakfasts also, but I think we can do it!

    Spent exactly $50 on fruits and veggies at the grocery store and it literally filled half the cart!! Such riches! I've told the kids to ration themselves to 2 pieces of fruit a day. We have enough bananas and frozen fruit to have smoothies for a few mornings, and I'll try to make an oatmeal based breakfast, or pancakes a few times this week. It was kinda fun to go to the store and buy ONLY food from the produce section.

    I have learned SOOOOO much about nutrition, cooking, and feeding my family in the last 5-6 years, and especially in the last few months....and I have to humble myself and smack that pride upside the head when I go through the grocery line and see the person in front of me with 4 boxes of sugary cereal and a huge box of soda. SMACK SMACK SMACK.

    So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! (1 Cor 10:12)

    Are you anywhere near me? I'm shutting down the house in NC and have lots of food I have to do something with!! Or you could come for dinner!!
