challenge results

last time i wrote, i was about 1/3 of the way through the challenge. then my last remaining grandmother died. i didn't completely stop the challenege, but funeral food does not automatically lend itself to the word "diet". plus, the supplements i had i didn't keep up on. so by the end of my 24 days, i still had product left over; i wasn't in the gym as often as i wanted or should have been; and my eating habits, while mindful of what i was consuming, weren't top notch.

with that being said...i managed to lose 8 pounds and 9 total inches. the majority of my inches came from my bust/waist/hips area, which is where i still have excess. my arms and calves changed less than a quarter of an inch, if at all. SO considering i didn't follow it to the T, i'm exceptionally pleased. well worth it! looking forward to doing it again in a few months and being strict! (assuming no one dies again, in which case i will NEVER do the challenge again! ha!)

in other news, i registered this week for my annual 5k mid may. i registered for the "athena" division (women +140lbs). the awesome thing is, if i'm diligent these next few months, i could easily be ineligible for that division because i'm close to 140. i haven't been 140 (or remotely close to it) since 2005. magic number, i'm coming for ya!
