Still going...13 days...TMI

Thursday, January 24, 2013

On top of everything else, I am now on day 13 of my period. I'm considering seeing a doctor.

Bizarrely, as many doctors as I have been seeing lately, I don't really have a GP. I have seen an OB/GYN, but it's been years ago, so I don't think I can just call her, or get an appointment on short notice. I guess I should try.

The other problem is, I just don't have time. I have final projects that must be graded by Monday afternoon. Sunday morning, I have an eye appointment. Tuesday morning I have a root canal. I'm thinking of stopping by my endocrinologist's office while I'm in the clinic for the eye appointment. This huge weight gain and non-stop period thing could be related, and could be thyroid or other endocrine problem related, I'm afraid.

My grandmother went to the hospital with bleeding when she was in her 60s (ie, well past menopause) and was diagnosed with diabetes and admitted.

I hope I'm not going in that direction.

For now, I might just pretend this isn't happening...

I agree, you really need to be seen! Hoping that it isn't anything related to what your grandmother had. emoticon

But still you must have a check up done the sooner the better or else the 13 day blood loss could result in anaemia...its always better to have a checkup on and immediate health related issues should be tackled first...wont take much of your time...especially with the doc coz we need blood tests to rule out certain conditions and meanwhile u can have a symptomatic relief...

Yikes....that is long. I would see somebody about it....maybe your best bet is the endocrinologist...there is definitely something going on.
