Update on my foot

So it turns out that the pain completely subsided before I even got to see the podiatrist (go figure!). No idea what the cause was - potentially an injury to the fat pad over the calcaneous bone of the left foot or a pulled tendon from when I did my leg workout two weeks ago. I ran 3.5 miles on Tuesday without a problem and 4.5 miles this morning - also without a problem. What I have realized is the need to focus some stretching on the tendons and muscles in the foot. Looks like I will add that to my stretching routine now. The good news is that I feel great and my fear of a long term injury knocking me out of my goal for a half-marathon this year did not materialize out of this.
