This Woman At Work Really Ticked Me Off

Thursday, January 24, 2013

I told her how I'd love to move out towards California, Oregon, Washington, basically anywhere along the west coast. She told me that I'd need to lose weight to move to California.
Now, I'm sorry, but since when do you have lose weight in order to move to a new place? Yes, I'm overweight; yes, I would like to work harder at changing that again. But, my weight does not dictate who I am or what I do with my life. Why should it?
Nonetheless, that comment really bothered me. Thank God she's quitting in a week. She wants me to call her so we can hang out after she quits. Thanks to that comment tonight, I deleted her number. I don't need that in my life. I have enough problems right now and b*tch doesn't need to be one of them.

This woman is very good at making comments like that. My sister is a little bit heavier than me and was looking at athletic clothes; when my sister made a comment about them, this woman explained why and said, "Not that you would know or anything."
I didn't talk to her for a month after that. No one messes with my baby sister, especially when it comes to her weight. She's very sensitive about it, because she's been overweight most of her life and picked on a lot because of it. I was being kind for a while and let the woman redeem herself for that. Now, she just screwed herself over.

Wow - can we say "intellectually challenged", Spark boys and girls? I thought so.....

I swear to whatever's swearable - there are simply some people that should not 1) breed, and/or 2) leave their homes for ANY REASON WHATSOEVER!

May karma have its way with that $#!@#! Sorry you had to deal with that c**p!

Urrgghhh how rude! I'm sure she wasn't purposely trying to be rude, but why say something like that to someone?! Or at least word it better. You move wherever you want to move, how you look shouldn't dictate where you live!

I'm a Seattle girl and have lived in MN the last 32 years and I know that that statement would never hold water. You are who you are, wherever you are! More power to you if you do move to the coast! emoticon emoticon

Hmmmm... Although I personally wouldn't want to live in California...I like the changing seasons, it wouldn't be my weight that would stop me. Sounds like she might be too stupid to live around people at all. lol.

What a thoughtless remark! Your weight definitely does not dictate where you move. I used to live in Southern California and now live in Oregon. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. I know a little about Washington as well.

I just moved back to California from living on the East Coast for six years. Your weight shouldn't dictate where you go or how you live your life. I don't base my decisions on that. Good for you for deleting her number and cutting someone like that out of your life. I'm sure she was trying to be helpful or maybe she just doesn't want you to move away but she went about it the wrong way.
