Well, a few years back when I was going to a teacher's conference, I asked principal if I could bring my knitting. She said to tell anyone who asked that I was ADHD and needed to do it to stay focused. I think that is more true than I realized. I can't sit still without doing something, thus the knitting/crocheting - or even the WATP video while I watch tv are good for me in more ways than I realized. My sweater I started Sund. afternoon is almost done... albeit a Sz 4... cute too!
Anyway, getting off on a tangent here... was up till 12:30 last nite when I had fine-tuned my resume enough that I sent it of for an Exec Assist job that was advertised here in town. Keep you all posted on any results. Must go to the Northside Employment Centre today to see if they can help me print off business cards as well. May be too cold today to go out and about, but will probably go to hospital when sweater is done, and donate it to gift shop, and also drop resume and enquire whether there might be Companion jobs, medical secretary,/dictation type things. I don't think I want to work full time, but I do definitely want to do something, and variety is the spice of life.
So, also found yesterday when I was working on front room curtains, a recipe from Pat in Maine for an oat bran breakfast just after she commented on my blog. interesting! Well, just realized that as much as I like that breakfast, I don't have a microwave yet, so will have to keep recipe close at hand.
So, the long johns are on, hope the car (not plugged in) will be interested in going out for a drive. I don't know how this car acts in winter, but dh says it is a V6 so it shouldn't be anything to worry about, but it's a 1999, may be getting too old to go out in weather like this.
Well, see how the day goes, having supper with dh's cousin, and I want to make a tabbouleh salad to bring, so finished my a.m. veggie, ham, and cheese omelette, so must get on to the next meal. I know she will have a healthy meal, but it's the deserts that kill. She is a worse diabetic than me, on insulin, and sick often, so maybe I should find some good, quick, easily transported deserts to bring when I go there.. WE watched here go really downhill after supper and she said her arms were hurting and she got very tired and said she needed to take her insulin.
ANyway, car was fine. Cold out there -30 they say. WEnt to employment centre and got called for an interview on Sat. and also got call from the place I applied to online last nite. I wasnt available for Friday, so they said they might call me back. But meanwhile, I spoke to 4 or 5 different people and got very negative comments and told this person is always hiring new people and it's not a good place to work.
good nite all.
