5k Training: Week 3, Day 1

Getting through last week was a struggle. I never woke up and felt ready to go to the gym. I always struggled through the running, particularly the last interval. But I moved on to week 3 anyway. I felt my endurance had improved enough for me to add another interval.

And I'm glad I did! Today went wonderfully! I got through my first two intervals no problem, and the second two were difficult on my body, but I was able to maintain my breathing. The 5th interval, which killed me last week, when fine as well! Even my new 6th interval wasn't too much of a struggle!

I'm still nervous about moving to next week, where I have to run for 3 minutes. But I have this week to get through and by then I'm sure I will be ready. On Wednesday, I will up the intensity, as suggested, by increasing the incline. Depending on how that goes, I might increase my walking speed Friday. We'll see!
