I love my daughter!!

She is the only one who can come home, make comfort food and still keep me in check!

My BooBear and her wonderful boyfriend, Awesome, had originally planned to come home last night to take Hubby and I out for supper for Hubby's birthday. Since I failed to reply in a timely fashion, boo for me I know, BooBear and Awesome decided to cook, with only 1 request. MamaBear was to make peach cobbler.

Since tracking my diet has become so much fun lately, I was a little concerned about the menu she had planned since Friday nights tracking was an epic FAIL!! Totally blew that outta the water, since I was so pissed at the neighbor and ended up eating double the amount of calories than I had allotted and all thanks to a damn bag of potato chips!!!!

So BooBear tells me that her and Awesome (can ya tell I love this guy?) are making herbed potatoes, 4 cheese macaroni and cheese, steak and of course rounding out with the cobbler.

I don't know how she did it, or I did it, or even we did it, but when I tracked yesterday, dinner only came up to 474 calories and I was freaking stuffed!!! Like "Um, BooBear, I have to wait for like an hour before I can even think of cobbler!" stuffed. Psst... it is almost 6:15 a.m. and I still don't want to move my belly feels so full yet. OMG, it was sooooooooooo good though.

So, yup, I love my daughter. Haven't told her yet that I'm watching what I eat and she comes home to feed me goooood food and keeps me in check. Too bad she doesn't come home more often. emoticon

We have come to realize there is no way in heck we can live together. We clash like plaids and stripes. When she comes home for just a few hours though, it is the most beautiful thing in the world. And as for Awesome? I never would have imagined her with a guy like him. Granted my daughter is beautiful. The kind of beautiful that could model if she wanted.

She is just not the type to settle down. That is Hubby's and my fault, we moved a lot while she was growing up so she has a wanderers soul. But Awesome? I would say he is a bit of a wanderer too. Full time student, speaks 5 languages, did an internship in China last summer and is studying to be a translator. Wonderful, clean cut guy with two full sleeves of tattoo's! Am sure most parents would cringe at that. He is good for her. Treats her with respect and dignity, puts herself before him all the time. Takes her to work before going to class.. that kind of stuff. So yeah, he's Awesome!

My DD is 17 and a challenge but those flashes of sweetness are coming through once again! Love her to death and hope someday in her future is a Mr. Awesome! I know there will be.
