Sunday of new week

Sunday, January 20, 2013

Today, I slept in till almost 9 and got up and started knitting. Realized that time was flying and decided I better get organized or the day would pass me by.
Had breakfast
Did 2 mile WATP
Went to church, visited
Had lunch
Finished knitted hat w/ pompom
Started knitting sweater
Made boiled dinner
Talked with my mother
Watching "Strong Medicine"

Been looking up "Bread Pudding" recipes because I saw a table of bread getting old and stale at the "Outreach" (church/bible study/soup kitchen) and suggested making something with it. I also gave them my number in case their volunteer cook calls in sick on short notice. When I first moved in here, I saw their building (at the corner of my street, just down the hill) and said to myself, there's a place to volunteer, little did I know they also had bible study and church.. Sounds like a great place for me to be.

It is better to give than receive... always makes you feel better when you help others.

What a great Sunday you have had. I also like boiled dinner, but I haven't made one in years. I usually make mine with ham, not corned beef. What about you?

I began knitting the baby afghan I have to get done before May. I think I'll be able to do that.

Glad you found a church where you are able to volunteer also.

I didn't exercise today, tend to take Sunday as my day of rest from that. But I will do WATP tomorrow, haven't decided which one yet.

    Have a great week.
