Not quite like a Boss.

So of course I was totally floored when I finally checked my page and found out I'd received a trophy for my last blog.

Wow, and thank you to everyone who liked it and those who chimed in with their comments.

I've been on SP about 4 (5?) years already and this is my first time.

Like my title indicates, I have not been finessing this healthy lifestyle thing like a boss. More like a per diem employee. Good enough for me (for now). I have always said never give up because that is the only real failure. So I keep showing up even when I haven't done my homework.

The night I wrote that blog I did the same thing I'd done so many other times. I didn't plan ahead. I ended up having nearly a whole medium Dominos pie for dinner. It was thin crust, yet somehow I don't feel that offers much in redemption. Knowledge is not enough, people. It takes action to change the world.

Today I am 100% on the atta-girl track. I learned that ramen noodles are better to be avoided. (Though I suppose with lots of veggies isn't too bad hm?) I've never been one for ramen but D eats them 2 packs at a time. To be 6' and 230, right?

Really I am writing to say Thank You to everyone. I'm not quite the Healthy Living and Fitness Warrior just yet but it's really nice to have people rooting for me. And I'm going to keep working on improving, because that's all there is to it.

    It is so true. I ate half of a thin crust Jerk Chicken Pizza yesterday. I totally know what you are talking about. But, on Monday I am just going to get right back on the saddle. Congrats on the trophy. That is awesome.

    Whoa. Can I quote you on my sparkpage? This is a great motivator for me.

    Per diem employee-- what an apt comparison to maintaining without drive. I think that spark is like life, though, we cycle through it as in all things. I've been a per diem employee here, and I've been a boss, and I've been outright absent, too.

    We all have our cycles. I'm glad that you're transitioning back to the owner of your body (company).

    I got a motivational member award for blogs I posted and out of the blue all kinds of people are posting all kinds of things on previous blogs, some where really personal.
    I'm 'blocked' again for sparkers that aren't spark friends.
    Anyways....way to go!!!

    Perserverence is its own reward. Maybe if you reward yourself once a week with something not on your weight loss program you would not feel so tempted.
    Just a suggestion.....I have been doing low carb and no sugar....hard for first week but cannot believe how the cravings have gotten really more manageable.
