Lipotropics Shots--Clinic update

loving the fast updates? lol

So I literally just got back from the weightloss clinic and did a little damage to my wallet in hopes that my investment will benefit me weightloss journey.

I had an appointment with a nurse who showed me different options of diet plans they had ranging from $300-$600 +.( not going to lie the nurse was a little salesy). One of the was HCG, another low carb and another was a diet based on their pre packaged foods. NOw i went in with the mindset of not spending any more then I had too. The nurse educated me on a component of each diet which was the Lipotropic injections... Here is some background for those of you who wonder what it is and what its suppose to do..

"Lipotropic injections are a concoction of essential amino acids choline, methionine, and inositol combined with vitamins B6 and B12. This combination of amino acids and vitamins has so many benefits for the body. Choline, an essential nutrient, actively reduces fat in the liver, decreasing chances of heart disease. Methionine, an amino acid responsible for lowering cholesterol and fat reduction in the body, is not produced in our bodies. Inositol is responsible for metabolizing fats and helping transfer those fats to the bloodstream. Inositol also regulates serotonin and insulin in our bodies. This increases mood and decreases hunger. Vitamins B6 and B12 are added to elevate mood, to assist in lipid metabolism, and to increase energy."

I decided against the HCG , low carb and packaged food diets because I've been to weightloss clinics before and they work until you go back to your lifestyle. Don't get me wrong my lifestyle is not that bad, but it could use improving. Mainly I chose the route I took because a lot of the food I like I could never eat again if I chose one of their diet plans ( i eat a lot of indian food since im indian).

I did a little research on Lipotropics and found a few raving reviews but not as many as i would've hoped. Based on the ingredients I figured they can't hurt right? I've decided to incorporate these shots twice a week along with a stricter diet ( at least 500 cal deficit daily 60-80 grams of protein and very low sugar intake and more water intake) along with cardio and strength exercising.

Now when I went to the clinic they have these really fancy scales called TANITA that tell you all the info you want to know thats going on inside of you (and said I was 2lbs less then my scale at home), I'll upload a copy of my current report. On it your find the standard height weight age and also BMI BMR fat % mass and where I should be.

Every wednesday and saturday I'll be going into the clinic for a updated weigh in along with a coaching.( It was included witht he purchase of the injection package). The price was pretty hefty at 325.00 for 15 shots but I got a groupon deal in my area and the price for 1 shot is regularly 45.00 a pop. So I've justified the purchase.lol.

I still intend to work hard, I'm just hoping that this will give me a boost to see my loss a little faster. I'll keep my blog updated every appointment I go to. Has anyone out there tried this before or know of anyone who has?

It's been about a month: how are these doing for you?
Have you altered your exercise or food intake routine as well?
Please update your journey as I have been thinking of doing this and want to know if it is worth it.

WOW! You're braver than I! I can't stand shots! Please keep me updated. You might want to seriously consider a journal to track mood swings and any thought patterns that these shots may affect. I am truly interested in this journey. I have never been to a clinic but have always wondered! Best of luck to you! I'll be anxiously awaiting your next report!
