Wake-up Call

Friday, January 18, 2013

One of my aunts died this morning from complications from a stroke. She was a "young," thin, energetic 73, but had a heart attack a few years ago. As far as I know (and I might not), she had recovered from that. The stroke some weeks ago and the struggles since have all been so sad and tragic. For as long as she held on, I guess there was some hope of a miracle until about 3 days ago.

I have a number of health issues to work on, and this is some added inspiration to keep working on them! I'm fortunate that my parents are still living and going pretty strong at 80 and 81. I'd love to get that far and beyond with a good, healthy quality of life!
