Trying to get back on track

Since about June I have been really stressed all the time and really went off my healthy eating. My BG went up because of poor eating. For a long time I didn't leave the house other than to go to the store and church because my dog was so sick before I lost him. I am trying to get back with it, eating better (which works most of the time) and exercising. Yesterday I went to the gym that I hadn't been able to get to for the last 3 weeks and got on the treadmill again. I lasted less than 15 minutes before my hips were heating too much to go on. I then tried what I think is what they call the eliptical. That didn't last even 10 minutes because the muscles in the front of my legs started hurting so bad. I really can't go there very often because it is far enough away that I have to drive and using that much gas is out of the question. Here at home I go up and down the stairs to the basement and will try to do that several times in a row. There isn't much room for doing things in the living room, like DVDs and their moves. Hopefully I can figure out some things I can do here when it is too cold to go for walks outside.

    Going up and down stairs burns a lot of calories! Have you tried any of Leslie Sanson indoor walking DVDs? They don't take a lot of space to do indoors.

    I'm having trouble getting back on track too. I'm sorry your dog has been sick. I hope you and I can both get on track and stay there for awhile! emoticon
