ABC's of me, 2013 Great Slimdown team version

A is for ABOVE and BEYOND...Does competition push you?
~~Of course it does, doesn't it push you?
B is for BLC rounds... Newbie?(first BLC round) Oldie?(1-3 rounds) Goldie?(long time BLCer)? Former BLC team(s)?
~~Ok, what the heck is BLC? Something to do with Biggest Loser no doubt. No, I have not been on a team but have done other fun teams on Spark
C is for CHILDREN...you have?
~~I have four, all grown and moved away. No grandkids yet, but I am lobbying for them actively.
D is for DOWNFALL...what's you're biggest temptation?
~~ Cookies!!!!
E is for EARLY Bird or Night Owl?
~~Am a night owl trying desperately to become an early bird.
F is for FURRY FRIENDS...you have?
~~I have two ratties, Winston and Pinto. They are brothers, 7 years old and great dogs.
G is for GROCERIES...what do you fill your cart with?
~~Vegetables, so much so that a little girl behind me blurted out, "Look at all her vegetables!" I also eat fruit, lean meats, eggs, chocolate (good chocolate), fish. I (try to) avoid processed foods and high carb food and sugars.
H is for HOME...what state do you call home?
I is for INSPIRE...who or what is your roll model/inspiration?
~~ The other people on Spark! Really, the people on here are amazing.
J is for JOB...What do you do for a living?
~~I am web developer (I make web sites and good ones too.)
K is for KEEP IT SIMPLE...What's your focus when short on time?
~~To not drop the ball and just eat whatever's easy
L is for LOG...Do you use the Nutrition and Fitness trackers?
~~Yes, I use them both as I find I do much better when I do
M is for MARRIED, Single, Involved?
~~Married, happily, finally. Took me a couple of tries.
N is for NAME...What's the meaning behind your sparkname?
~~TERESA159 is my name and what I weighed when I first started Spark in 2011. I lost 26 pounds that year but then last year gained a lot of that back. So, here I am again cuz I know it works.
O is for OUNCES...How many ounces of water do you consume on a daily basis?
~~Who actually measures? I keep it handy and drink a lot.
P is for PRODUCE...How many fruits and veggies do you consume daily?
~~Tons, I love produce and make a protein drink in my Vitamix every afternoon that has kale, collard greens, bok choy, parsley, apple, banana, blueberries, cranberry juice, protein powder and fish oil. Plus, I eat veggies or fruit at meals. I think produce is the KEY to good eating, no way around it. Luckily, I have learned to like them.
Q is for QUOTE...what's your favorite?
~~"What in the Sam Hell do you think you're doing?" my dad used to say this when I was doing something ridiculously stupid. I keep it in my head for those times when I am still doing something ridiculously stupid. Keeps me from doing most of that stuff.
R is for ROUTINE...Average number of days and minutes you exercise weekly?
~~I try to exercise 6 out of 7. Sometimes stuff happens. I don't panic when it does. I work out for at least an hour each time and work hard.
S is for STATURE...How tall are you?
T is for TIME...What time zone are you in?
~~ Mountain
U is for UNWIND...What is your favorite pass time or hobby?
~~Reading, skiing, hiking, dog walking, sewing.
V is for VACATION...If you could travel anywhere, what destination would you choose?
~~ Italy!! I've just recently been to northern Europe for the first time and loved Brussels and Amsterdam. Paris, eh, glad I was there but wasn't taken by it. Of course, might have been the rain...
W is for WEIGHT WORKOUT...Do you follow a consistent ST program?
~~Yes, I do ST three times a week. At my age, it's what's going to make the difference.
X is for "X" MARKS THE SPOT...What do you want to see happen these 12 weeks, other than the scale move?
~~12 weeks? I am here for the duration! I want a leaner, tighter, healthier body. What that means on the scale, I am not sure.
Y is for YESTERDAY...Do you allow choices to push you forward or dwell on them?
~~I bet this question's supposed to say something about bad choices? Like when you biff and eat every donut in the try-county area? I really don't do much of that anymore but when I do, I chalk it up to the bad eater still lurking inside me and move on. Now, if I did that every other day or every week, we'd have an issue that needed to be addressed. I find it helps to visualize what I want for myself, what I look like if I don't eat that crap.
Z is for ZERO...name one weight loss tool you couldn't live without?
~~My HRM. It validates all that sweat.

    Hey, it's great to see you again! Was fun to read your "ABC's". Haven't checked your other blogs yet, but if you haven't posted one about your trip to Brussels and Amsterdam you should share some pictures for those of us who haven't had that adventure (yet)!
