Results of Day 1 Fat Fast

So, yesterday I lived off of macadamia nuts and cream cheese. I’m currently doing a fat fast to break a plateau using a low carb diet. I consumed 1000 calories with the majority of it coming from fats. Now, I do realize that losing weight is healthy at 1-2 pounds per week…. This weight loss should be a bit dramatic but enough to get me over my plateau and loosing steadily again… sort of a “shock” to my system to get it restarted in a direction.

I found that eating my portion of cream cheese plain was absolutely repulsive. I thought “Oh it’s just a few days just suck it up.” I’ll never do that again. However if you mix cream cheese, a little bit of softened butter, vanilla, and stevia you have wonder tasting cheese cake. I had that for one of my “mini meals” last night and I actually would not mind having that for a dinner now and then after. Yesterday I weighed in at 158.8…. I weighed in today at 156.8. 156 is my plateau point…. I’ll touch it now and then only to wake up to a gain with no explanation behind it. I spent the majority of my life weighing 160 so it makes sense to me that this is my bodies comfort zone. Even deviating from plan and eating “whatever” at one point during the holidays, I did not gain beyond 160. I’m just sort of stuck there in both directions.

This morning I had bullet proof coffee and I’m pretty sure it’s going to completely change my life. It is the most wonderful tasting treat I’ve had in quite some time and is perfect for low carb/high fat diets and fit in with my fat fast perfectly. This morning, I show no symptoms of being hungry and feel quite satisfied. This may be another thing that sticks with me beyond my fat fast.

I plan on staying on the fat fast through Saturday and weening off on Sunday depending on what results I see over the next two days. I plan on weening off by having 1 regular low carb meal a day and continuing on with the other meals being super high fat and low carb and then getting myself to having one of these meals a day with 2 regulars. (Either keep my morning bullet proof coffee for breakfast or substitute a meal for my cream cheese cake from time to time).

    Would you be able to use a little cocoa powder (un-sweetened real cocoa) and some stevia in your cream cheese? Its so delicious mixing the cocoa in, 1 table spoon has 12 calories and the carb gram is fibre.

    It's like eating a chocolate cheesecake truffle or something obscenely decadent like that! Can your lightly toast your macadamia's? that would taste amazing!

    I love cream cheese ( I eat the strawberry flavored one straight up). Can you give me an idea of the proportion of ingredients you used?
