A 3 year old, a 9 year old and a half sick Mommy find a way to work out!

so it wasnt' my perfect, fat burning, sweat inducing workout. In fact, it wasn't even close to what I had planned for today. But that was before I got up feeling about half sick with a scratchy throat and a heavy chest. Did I mention my sinuses are on fire???? AND before my husband decided tonight was the best night to run an errand with his friend Kevin.

So, I headed home with two tired kids and no plan to overcome this little upheaval. BUT, I remembered I had seen a listing for "Bodies in Motion" on my TV and I know that means that funny guy named Gilad who might not be trendy anymore, but knows a thing or two about low impact aerobics and a lot about muscle work. So, a 9 year old and 3 year old and a mommy (who was also making soup!!!) got down to business and cranked out a solid 22 minutes of working out. NOT pretty all the time. Trevor nearly killed Tay with a hand weight and all of my ab work was done with him clinging to me, but it got done.

And now, we will eat soup and do homework and got to bed know what it was a baby step, but a step none the less. My needs are important and it is okay to snatch 30 minutes from their TV time to get things done. Did I mention the AMAZING example I set tonight????
