Lord Give Me Patience

Thursday, January 17, 2013

Because hubby's driving me crazy! He abandoned the patch on Monday night. Since then he's been going cold turkey. And since then he's been grumpy, grouchy, snappish, etc. I had just about had it last night. I walked in the door and was met with a scowl and a "next time, don't leave the TP roll empty. I had to change it!" HUH? Ummm....OK..what? I mean I didn't even have my coat off yet! Then he was talking about this guy I had to fax some papers to for him today. Asking me what the guy's name was, testing me. OK sweetie...no I don't remember the guy's name exactly...it had John in it someplace. But I do have the info written down at work..where you called me and gave me the info. He then got up from the chair (he was watching TV) and grabbed the paper he had written in down on, handed it to me, then went to poke it with his finger. Instead he knocked out of my hand and even hit my finger with his hand. He said he was sorry..but it was more in that bitchy, whinny tone. That it was it for me...I let loose and told him I was tried of walking on friggin' egg shells around him. He asked if I was going to change into my "comfy" clothes and take my shoes off..nope...cuz if he would have continued in that vain I would have gone out until he simmered down. I was pissed! emoticon

I love my husband and I support him all the way on the whole stop smoking thing. To my mind it means we'll have more time together though the years. But I won't be his verbal punching bag. Been there and done that once in my life. He was sounding better on the phone today, so hope he's still that way when I get home. At this point I'm just going to have ask the Lord for a huge dose of patience! emoticon

I'll be over calories today. But I'll live with that for today. I did get my workout in. But I noticed that when I set the elliptical for a min HR of 130 I don't burn as many calories as when it's set for a min HR of 125. The difference isn't much..only about 20-25 calories. But I did notice it when I tracked them over the last couple of days. Don't know what's up with that.

My son is having surgery on the 13th next month. I'll be saying a little prayer for him.

So that's about it this Thursday...OH...and I made my first car payment today (it's wasn't due until next Thursday..but early is good..right?)

Anyway...have a great rest of the day everyone!

emoticon If only Midol worked for men! Hope the nicotine gets out of his system soon. Giving up smoking is a miserable task. I switched to electronic cigarettes and it took almost 6 months to then kick those.

emoticon But we women handle stress so much more peaceful.

Oh wow, I can understand, but you must remain calm and not frustrate yourself. I do honestly know what you feel and how you feel.
