Don’t Worry! Be Happy!
Ever since watching The Secret yesterday, that has been my mantra. It’s working already, and it feels good! (www.TheSecret.tv)
I returned to work after being gone for 2 days with the flu. I laid there wondering what my department would look like when I returned. Scratched that …. I brooded, worried, panicked and almost didn’t want to return. As I drove to work this morning I kept repeating “I want to be happy, I want prosperity, I am thankful, I want to attract positive people in my life.”
My department was priced correctly, filled correctly and someone had even started on my action list. Seriously, I walked in and literally had nothing to do immediately but put tomorrow’s order in. I found out later that my store manager (who used to be a produce manager) took over my department. That is Salary Hours, and therefore does not go into my Sales per Labor Hour. WIN, WIN, WIN!
Forever, I’ve had this foreboding about opening the mailbox. Nothing good comes out of that mailbox. Heck, I don’t even get a Publisher’s Clearinghouse that says I may have won a million dollars. That movie addressed that issue. I had almost forgotten about that. I’m driving home and the radio station is playing ABBA’s “Money, Money, Money!” I’m laughing and singing right along …. Money, Money, Money in my Mailbox. There wasn’t one bill or bad thing in the box today. No sir! It was a W-2, which will allow me to file my taxes, which will give us MONEY! LOL!
Seriously, I don’t know if positive thinking works to attract good things into your life but I do know that I was smiling on the drive to and from work today! That is something!
For 3 days, I didn’t log food and ate what I felt like. It’s back to logging the food and staying within range. I can see 160 lbs. I can see Size 12. I know I’m going to make it and keep it there.
The Dr. recommended I not exercise until Monday. I will follow his instructions.
Today was “errand day.” This Cozi Calender I got through FlyLady is a dream. I have planned my meals for the next 10 days, had a running shopping list and an errand list I had compiled all week. I found some reduced meat plus in-store specials and simply changed a few menus. I ran the car through the car wash then picked up the prescriptions. In 1 hour I had all errands done and was home.
I have to run a load of laundry, unload the dishwasher. I am going to spend 5 minutes on a desk drawer and 15 minutes on this cabinet that is driving me crazy. Setting the timer really does work. I had avoided it until yesterday. I was really surprised that I had my freezer cleared out in FIVE minutes because I was on a timer.
I’m off to the timer races!
