Looking for instant gratification

Thursday, January 17, 2013

I know I didn't put on this weight over night. I know that it can take time to start seeing results.

Its been a week and three days so far. My size 16 pants still feel tight which makes me nervous that I won't hit the size 14 mark by February 8th (when I plan to go dress shopping). Granted they don't feel super tight like they did a week ago, but I still don't like how snug they fit. I am refuse to be a size 18! REFUSE!!!!

My weigh in is on Saturday and I with my tight pants on today, I am not feeling confident. I am looking for a weight loss of 2lbs at least and being 204lbs. That would make me happy but honestly I would be happy with any kind of weight loss.

Saturday can't come fast enough.

Your body might just be hanging onto your weight for a little bit. You might only lose 1 pound but next week it might balance by you losing 4 pounds. The body is a tricky thing and HATES change. Your body likes to keep things constant.

    It will happen

I could have written this. My impatience is legendary. Sat will get here before you know it, deep breaths. Try not to get frustrated, slow is good. It means it won't come back on quickly. At least that's what I tell myself. emoticon

We all would like to go to bed and wake up slim, but reality that is not going to happen. If you are exercising too, you maybe building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. I have been on this program since 8-27-2012 my goal was 50lbs by 3-6-2013 I have lost 10. Now I know that it is unrealistic , but I have lost inches in places. I changed my goal to 15lbs by March and if I don't make that I will change it, but I want give up. I think if you watch the scale and think to hard on it, kind of like the old sayong a watch pot will never boil, forget about the scales , use your tools, have fun and it will come. Good Luck my friend. If you get bored with the exercises change up and add things slowly.

It dosn't happen over night. I feel your pain. I was a 16/18 when I started this journey and it was a month before I saw a clothing size drop. Two pounds a week is on the very upper end of reasonable. Don't put so much pressure on yourself with the scale number. I know that's easier said than done... trust me. If you are persistant and you are tracking your food and tracking your fitness minutes... you'll see it happen slowly. It's been 11 months, 51 pounds, and now I'm a size 4/6! You can do this... even if it feels slow moving most weeks!
