NEW JOB....HURTING OR HELPING???

THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT AFTER BEING UNEMPLOYED SINCE NOVEMBER OF 2012, I AM EMPLOYED AGAIN.... emoticon THE BAD NEWS....IS MY JOB IS I AM DELIVERING PIZZA'S.... emoticon AND NOT ALL OF THE ONES THAT GO OUT INTO MY CAR ARE HEALTHY FOR ME...BUT OH BOY DO THEY SMELL GOOD....SO FAR, I HAVEN'T EATEN ANY OF THE MISTAKE SLICES THAT WE ARE ALLOWED TO EAT...BUT OH IT HAS BEEN TEMPTING...I CAN SEE WHERE IT IS GOING TO BE BOTH A HELP CUZ OF THE EXTRA EXERCISE FOR ME...AND I CAN SEE WHERE IT IS GOING TO BE A PAIN TO ME...THE TEMPTATION TO EAT THE PIZZA MISTAKES ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE, THE LATE NIGHT EATING WHEN I DO GET HOME, AND ALL THOSE KIND OF BAD HABITS THAT I CAN GET INTO...SO I AM GOING TO HAVE TO REALLY WATCH WHAT I EAT WHEN I GET HOME AT NIGHTS...AND REALLY WATCH HARD WHAT GOES INTO MY MOUTH...HOW DOES ANYONE ELSE DEAL WITH THE TEMPTATION OF WORKING AROUND SOMETHING THAT THEY REALLY LIKE? I PERSONALLY AM/WAS A BIG PIZZA EATER AND NOT NECESSARLY ONES THAT WERE THE BEST FOR ME...NOW THAT I AM WORKING WITH IT 4-5 TIMES A WEEK HOW DO I DEAL? ANY SUGGESTIONS?

    Thank you both...these are GREAT suggestions...I hadn't thought of them...or of the pizza that way...Thank you for reminding me that there aren't any forbidden foods...and if I plan properly, I can enjoy my pizza and weight loss too...Thank you both so much...

    Wow! That's tough. Life is about choices. SO...when you are tempted, ask yourself "Will eating this help me reach my goal or take it away from my goal?" When we are conscious about our choices, we make better ones. Also, there are no "forbidden" foods. Pizza is Ok, once in awhile and not 4 slices. So look at it as an occasional treat and make sure it's REALLY good pizza. I hate wasting calories on treat foods that are just ok. Good luck with your journey.

    If you can, allocate some of your daily calories to pizza. A slice or two of pizza a day can be part of a healthy diet. If not, maybe have some pizza once or twice a week. Not having it at all will make you feel deprived. Setting it up as part of your regular diet will prevent guilt if you partake.
