Week 1 of Y-Fit COMPLETE!

My first week of Y Fitness Challenge is complete. So far the challenge has been everything I wanted. I’ve met some really wonderful and supportive people. It’s nice seeing a familiar face or two at the gym. It’s fantastic to be receiving supportive emails from teammates. It’s incredible that I’m being pushed to try new fitness adventures. First on the list?
Turned in my eating plan this evening. I’ve been following Spark People’s suggested eating program which is based on the amount of calories burned, weight, weightloss goals, etc. Currently I’m shooting for 1650-2000 calories, 37-78 grams of fat, 187-327 carbs, 60-176 protein, and 500-2300 sodium. Sodium has really been key to weight loss. It is INCREDIBLE the amount of sodium that is in processed food and beverage. Sodium was a HUGE reason why I ditched soda (especially diet soda). Right now I’m really focusing on drinking my water, and making healthy choices. Some days are more successful than others…..it’s a process.
More to come. Definitely feeling positive and motivated right now.
