Teams & Challenges

I've been a SP member for over 6 years now and belong to a number of teams. Some of these teams use challenges as motivation to get the members losing weight and staying focused. I find these challenges are a good way to be held accountable and they make e try just a little bit harder. I am often inspired by some of the other folks stories, and they often make me realize how easy I have things by comparison. I do sometimes feel as though some folks are really resisting making the true changes that this journey requires. I learned early on, and was reminded again, in November, that you have to remove the word "TRY" from your vocabulary. Trying, isn't the same as doing. It gives you an out, and excuse, to fail. As in "well, I tried, but it didn't happen", I'll try again. I'm, always astonished that some don't buy into the cardio/strength training combination in regards to exercise. Another, worry for me, is that so many diet/exercise myths are still being accepted and espoused by far to many. The wealth of information available to us, here on SP, washes away all those false beliefs, if we just do a little research. I know we all have to find our own way, and I have, at one time or another, done some of the very same things, but going all in for these challenges can really help you if you really commit to them. The team leaders work so very hard to find ways to help us, and if we just step out of our comfort zones a little, we might be surprised at what we can accomplish; together, helping and supporting one another....just want to thank all the team leaders who work so hard to help us guys are the best!

    There are so many different permutations, but yep basically to lose weight calories out have to be greater than calories in and to maintain they have to be equal. Can't slice it any other way!
