Zumba Wii- Have you tried it?

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

So I've come to the conclusion that I hate the gym. I hate going and I hate being there . SO I've invested ino teh Zumba Core fitness fo my Wii.

What I love about it?
I can do it at home ( Which is great since learning the steps and trying to keep up can look a little rediculous .)

It counts my calories ( however I'm not too sure how accurate the count is...any thoughts?)

I feel the burn ( It definitely has me sweating and my abs...o my poor abs)

I WANT to do it ( being the it is a video game, its very addicting. You gets points and awards, you can unlock additional features. Its fun despite the pain)

The music choice is awesome ( anything from bollywood to soca, dancehall, country, hiphop, spanish , bellydancing...all in one game! )

So with all the pros, I can't really say there are any cons. Unless its all too good to be true and I wont see significant weightloss which is my goal. I would love to hear back from people who had tried it, especially those who it worked for!

So far this week I've done 1.5 hours and according to the game i burned over 800 cals... I hope this is true!

I got that game for Christmas and I LOVE it! I have the previous Zumba as well and this new one is way better in my opinion. I don't personally find it does too much in the AB department, I also do pilates and I think its just not as intense as I'm used to, but I like it best for the burn! I think those numbers are pretty accurate, if you plug aerobic dancing into the fitness tracker or into an online tracker it's usually pretty close. Any cardio will be good for fat loss - Zumba was the first exercise I committed to when I started working out and it really made a difference in the first few weeks. The weight loss has slowed some since I started, but it's still a good calorie torcher! Good luck and have fun!!

I just got it and so far I like it. I don't really feel it in my abs but I do sweat a lot! I think that it could really work for weight loss, but at some point I think you will need more! It's awesome that you are finding something you like, maybe finding a gym with classes will help you enjoy the gym a little bit more! I go to LA fitness and they have tons of classes and they are a lot of fun and you don't have to worry about feeling silly! Keep up the awesome work on your journey!

WOW! I've not heard of this but am SO interested! I also hate going to gyms - I just won't. It's home or nothing, unless it is not winter and I can go to walk around the parks. PLEASE let me know if this this works for you? I think it may be something I could do. emoticon
