I tried spinning a couple of years ago and really liked it. It is a great workout. I haven't done it in a while. I started running instead. My only advice is don't go all out on your first class, especially when it comes to getting out of the saddle. I was too gung ho and ended up hurting myself. Not horribly because I did go back, but I wish I had taken it a little bit easier until I knew what I was doing.
Good luck! Be sure (don't be shy!) to ask the instructor to help adjust your bike according to your height -- one of the worst things you can do is not have it adjusted right while biking. SheHe will walk you through the common Spinning lingo like "1st position" or "jumps" and so forth. Don't be deterred by the spinning pros in there - go at your own pace. And dont' turn up your gear too high that your knees bend outward just to get the pedaling. Go easy the first few times and in no time you will love it! 1925 days ago
