This is me in 1995, about 206#'s. I'd committed to being more "fit" but continued to refuse to monitor what I ate. My weight went up considerably from here; even though I was active. I would not reach my goal until 10 years later in 2005 after choosing to eat healthier in 2001 (2001 picture is on my page with more in my gallery; older grandkids got me more active-these younger ones motivated me to add eating healthier!) and finding a balance between food choices and exercise that I could live with--forever!

Fast forward to this morning!

My Omron pedometer was blinking at me; a signal that I needed to download the data; it stores 40 days. So, I did.

Since joining sparkpeople in January of 2010 and wearing my pedometer that I got for Christmas in 2009, here because I was really struggling with maintenance, I have:

Walked 6870 miles
Thats, 16,133,131 steps!
Averaging 14,469 steps a day.
Of those, 10,126,952 were aerobic steps.
Averaging 9082 aerobic steps a day.

Both Sugar and my pedometer are my most motivating fitness companions!

It's easy to walk on a beautiful day!

But . . .

Sugar gets me out no matter the weather! The nose poke starts about 5 p.m. if we haven't walked yet!

Now, Xena has joined in and gets very vocal about having yard time when we return from our walks. That means I go back out with her too!

It's all fun! A walker I will always be and when I can I'll have you "walk" with me!
