Just before I step on the scale, I take a deep breath and say to myself, "Remember, Lori: Feedback, not Failure," and I repeat it as many times as needed, for that particular weigh-in.
I've been doing this for about 3 months now, and I've noticed that I don't get depressed or frustrated anymore, when I've gained or that scale isn't moving. I just started tracking my food again, and I love the way the SP tracker helps me see exactly which food choices need changing as well as which ones are working. So, the Feedback, not Failure mantra points me in the positive direction of a solution instead of the negative direction of, "Well, if THAT'S the deal (gain or no loss), I might as well eat what I want!" (resentment, poor me, lol :)
